TerX Aero and Phase One A/S announced the integration of the Phase One P5 camera across TerX Aero’s rotary and fixed wing UAV platforms.

Backed by more than 20 years of experience in drones, ultralight aviation, aerial mapping, and geodesy, TerX Aero’s portfolio includes the TerX-H, a rugged rotary system with up to 59 minutes of endurance, and the TerX-F, a long-range fixed-wing platform capable of up to three hours of flight.

The addition of the Phase One P5 camera represents a major milestone for TerX Aero, enabling customers to achieve sub-centimeter accuracy without Ground Control Points (GCPs)—removing one of the most persistent hurdles in achieving sub-centimeter accuracy with drones. This advancement is powered by TerX Aero’s deep knowledge of GNSS and INS integration, combined with its commitment to delivering fully optimized payload configurations to the geodesy and mapping market.

The Phase One P5 camera is engineered for precision. With its compact, lightweight design (under 700 g) and power efficiency, it fits seamlessly within TerX Aero platforms. The P5’s 128 MP image sensor ensures low Ground Sample Distance (GSD) and blur-free image capture, while its electronic global shutter guarantees top-tier performance even in challenging conditions.

“We are the first company to integrate the P5 across both rotary and fixed-wing platforms,” said Matteo Triacca, VP of Sales at TerX Aero. “Our single integration package lets customers use one P5 payload across both systems, improving cost efficiency and simplifying operations.”

“The P5 was built to raise the bar for aerial imaging accuracy, and we’re pleased to see it fully integrated into TerX Aero’s platforms,” said Thomas Allin, Chief Technology Officer, Phase One A/S.

“TerX Aero has pushed the payload to its limits, and this integrated solution removes a key workflow hurdle while delivering strong value to end users.”
